My parents did the opposite. They told their families that i was stillborn in order to give me away without any questions.
The families asked no questions. They didn’t even have a memorial service for me. It all seems very strange to me, but no one wants to talk about it.

That’s so sad, and it happened a lot from what I understand. My own grandmother who was adopted had the same thing happen. Her birthmother died due to complications due to childbirth, and her birth father, a farmer thought she would have a better life if she were adopted. Years later when I found my great grandmothers grave, there on the tombstone was buried with infant daphnee, which was my grandmothers birth name.
